A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to attend their Christmas bloggers event in Crawley for the second year in a row, which was super fun - you can read all about it here!
At the end of the event, we were very kindly given a bag of goodies to take home with us and given the chance to buy anything if we wanted to. I had waited SO patiently to go into any Lush/ buy their Christmas products until this particular night, so I basically just went to town on filling up my basket!
THE GOODY BAG
Lush are always crazy generous with their goody bags and they never disappoint. Their event this year focussed a lot on their exciting new Naked products, which undoubtedly made an appearance in our bags!
First up, we were given the Bubbly Naked Shower Gel* and Once Upon A Time Naked Body Lotion*. Bubbly has a very strong orange scent to it which I've used before, whereas Once Upon A Time is slightly more on the mellow side and smells a lot like apples. YUM. Both are super nourishing and easy enough to use!
Ectoplasm Jelly Bomb* was another addition to the bag. We actually saw this being demo'd in store, so it was nice to know what to expect when we took it home to use in the bath. After using the Secret Arts Jelly Bomb earlier this year and not getting along with it at all, I was determined to give this another try!
Turns out, I actually much preferred the jelly concept this time around. I think my bath just wasn't hot enough last time! I wasn't too keen on the smell (just personal preference) but it felt so good on my skin in and out of the water, meaning I can definitely see past the scent!
The Butterbear Wash Card was an adorable addition to the bag! This is basically a pocket-sized card soap which is suitable to take with you on the go. I never really understood how these worked until now, but it's almost too adorable to use.
On the subject of soaps, Christmas Citrus has to be one of the most refreshing soaps I have ever smelt. I am still 100% loyal to my much loved Baked Alaska soap, and this is not far off! I love the Lush soaps as they are so rejuvinating and aren't as drying as a normal soap on your skin!
If you saw my post on the event itself, you'll see that we got the chance to make our very own Bûche De Noël Fresh Cleanser. No word of a lie, I have used this every single day since getting it and it has totally sorted out my skin meltdown! It has brightened up my complexion massively and my dry patches have completely disappeared. Not only that, it's completely balanced out any oily patches.
My skin has never felt better using this and I love it so much! Lush also sell the alcohol-free version of this if that's better suited to your skin type.
Last up in the goody bag was the Man In The Moon Bubble Bar. You may have noticed there are 2 of these and that's because I actually bought myself one (before knowing there was one in the bag!). I'm glad I have two though as I aboslutely love the scent - it smells just like Monsters Ball!
I also love how big these bubble bars are, meaning one will last a good few baths depending on how many bubbles you are after!
AND.. THE HAUL!
Of course I HAVE to start by mentioning my beloved Pumpkin Bath Bomb. It's a fast, orange fizzer which smells absolutely out of this world amazing! It's warming, autumnal and smells spicy with hints of vanilla and cinnamon. Honestly, it smells better than baking.
That's not all. Another reason I love this so much is the smell sticks around on your skin until the next day, a bit like a fragrance would. I'm definitely going to have to place a bulk order for these online before they go out of stock until next Halloween!
Next, I picked up another Halloween number which was Pink Pumpkin Bubble Bar. I love the original Sparkly Pumpkin but this year I wanted to try something new. It's obviously stupidly adorable because it's pink and glittery, however I actually prefer the scent of this one to the original! I can't wait to use it!
Christmas Eve Bubble Bar was another amazing product I picked up (in fact, it's so amazing I can't believe I've waited until this late in the post to talk to you about it!) This is a product I've been begging Lush to bring back for the last 3 years.
It's always been a firm favourite of mine and I squealed with joy when I found out it was back this year! It's just a simple, clean scent with Jasmine and Ylang Ylang and it leaves your body feeling moisturised and relaxed. I can't wait to use it again!
Last but not least, I had to pick up the Christmas Cracker Bubble Bar. Not only is this giant, it smells like Refresher sweets and has actual popping candy in. Doesn't get much better than that! I actually got this as a present for Jack, so I must go and pick myself one up soon!
That's just about everything for this years haul! I'm sure I'll be back to Lush in the very near future to pick up some more Christmas treats! Have you picked anything up yet? :)

ReplyDeleteThey really do smell wonderful, there are so many other lovely things too that I didn't get chance to buy! Definitely head down there if you can, it'll be totally worth it :) xxx
DeleteAhh my Lush spending is out of control but I rarely buy the bath bombs or bubble bars even though they look amazing. Their skincare has totally transformed my skin though, and I'm desperate to try out Buche De Noel.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, mine too! Oh no way, their bath stuff is wonderful - you will never go back! I totally agree about their skincare though, it's just the best stuff ever! You must give Buche De Noel a try :) xx
