On Tuesday, I met up with the lovely Holly (Closing Winter) and Aine (Honestly Aine) in Brighton for Yelp Burger Feast at No32. If you are familiar with Brighton, you will know that No32 (previously Havana) is tucked away on Duke Street. It has the same owners, however up until recently, they decided they wanted to revamp it into something a bit different. It serves food by day, and is a bar/club by night. Previous to this visit, I had only ever been to the Studio 32 club night, which is held on Saturday's and is a fun mixture of noughties R'n'B and classic chart music.
The building itself looks quite small and dark from the outside but is actually huge and so spacious when you walk in. There are 3 different bars inside - that's just an idea for you to go by on how big it is. The venue is split over 2 levels and there is even an outdoor seating area, plus a cosy balcony for you to sip a delicious cocktail (or five) and people watch. Totes my idea of fun.
The decor is sophisticated, edgy and warm which is enough to make anybodies level of class sky rocket from 0-60 in about 3 seconds. There is even a chandelier made of hundreds of pairs of glasses - I mean, why would you not want that in your life?
As we arrived for the Burger Feast, the staff couldn't greet us quick enough and make us feel more welcome. They are so friendly and go above and beyond for whatever you require. Whilst we were waiting for our food, I decided to treat myself to a pre-payday bevvy.
After trawling through the enormous range of cocktails on the menu, I opted for the the Raspberry Fizz. The cocktail was a delicious mix of Eristof Vodka, Chambord, Fresh Raspberries, Lemon Juice, Mint and Tonic served in a tall glass. It was so incredibly tasty and refreshing - highly recommend!
Then came the main event.. FOOD! I ordered the No 32 Classic Burger* which includes Bacon, Monterey Jack, Pickles and Relish served in a brioche bun. All burgers are 6oz, made from dry-aged chuck steak and are all cooked medium. The fries are handcut, tasted amazing and were served in a little cute saucepan alongside your burger. All of the meal was delicious and exceeded what I was expecting - seriously could not fault it! I wasn't left feeling uncomfortably full after my meal either, which earns all the brownie points in my eyes because I normally get so full when I have just devoured a burger meal with a milkshake(s)!
I couldn't reccommend this place more for eating, a casual drink or a night out. A big thank you to Yelp for the opportunity and for a ridiculously pleasing all-round experience!
Will you be trying No32?
TB x
